We began the 2007 season with a 43.59 and 44.10 lbs at the Kajun Sportsman in Fourchon Louisiana. During the Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo the team finished ninth place with a 44.51 lb Kingfish. Tournament staff stated that 3013 anglers attended in over 500 boats. We were again off to Fourchon where our Junior Angler took Second Place Honors with a 29.95 lb Kingfish. Our first full year on the Southern Kingfish Association Division 7 trail ended with us holding on to tenth place of 112 boats earning our first invitation to the National Championship in Biloxi. Our 2008 season found us back at the Kajun Sportsman in Fourchon Louisiana where caught a 31.11 and had some fantastic memories of “the big one that got away”. Our Junior lost a 60-65 inch King 15 feet from the boat following a 75 minute battle and our lady angler brought a 9 foot hammerhead along side, after being sick all day in six foot seas. Next, we went to the Alabama Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo and scaled a nice 36.20 lb Kingfish. Then we were off to Biloxi where we weighed a very nice 43.52 lb King taking third place in open while our Lady and Junior Angler took First Place Honors. Our second year on the Southern Kingfish Association Division 7 trail ended with us holding on to eleventh place earning the teams second invitation to the National Championship. After two years away from tournament fishing due to a move, our 2011 season had us fishing South Florida’s Division 10 where our new team fished Key West in January where we caught a 29.23. Then we were off to Palm Beach where we caught a 31.99. The last tournament of the SKA season in Pompano Beach proved to be a tough bite where we caught a 13.52. Our season finished with us holding onto eleventh place in Division 10 with a 74.74 and our third invitation to the National Championship. Our 2012 season again found us in Key West where we caught a 41.55 to start the year right and put us in an excellent position for a good total points finish. |
